Events update: Due to the continuing limitations on gathering caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic, we regret to inform members that we have cancelled both our autumn lunches/events, the first of which was due to take place on Saturday 26th September at St. Augustine's Church and the Grange Ramsgate. The second event was our annual lunch and Bistro Benito in London on 21st November.
Having taken soundings from members of the OA Committee unanimously agreed to take this action as both events involve lunches/gatherings in confined spaces and we could not guarantee to take the necessary measures to ensure social distancing.
The only event remaining in 2020 which is still under review is the Remembrance Service in St. Augustine's Church, Ramsgate on Wednesday 11th November and to lay a wreath at our OA War Memorial. Social distancing can be observed at the Church but there is no lunch or reception involved so the issue of social distancing should not arise. We will advise you at the earliest opportunity whether or not this Memorial Service takes place.
An important Date for your Diary: Black Tie Dinner for the 50th Anniversary of Ramsgate to Westgate move. This special dinner will take place at The Nation Liberal Club, Whitehall Place London SW1A 2HE on Thursday 15th July 2021. More details will be announced in the autumn including the booking arrangements.
