We are very please to invite you to a celebratory Black-Tie dinner at the National Liberal Club in Central London on Thursday 16th June at 7.00pm to mark the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of St. Augustine's College moving from Ramsgate to Westgate and the 50th Anniversary of the closure of Assumption House and Les Oiseaux Convent school's move from Westgate. All these took place 1971 - 1972.

This is only the second time we have held a Black-Tie dinner since our College closed in 1995. Many of you will recall that we last held a Black-Tie dinner in the House of Lords seven years ago when we celebrated the 150th anniversary of the founding of St. Augustine's College.

It is appropriate that for this occasion we should also remember our friends at Les Oiseaux Convent School, which left its beautiful buildings in Westgate to our School and to the Ursulines who 50 years ago commenced joint classes with our school until 1995 when many of the boys went from St. Augustine's College to the newly formed Co-educational School, The Ursuline College.

The other significant 50th Anniversary marked the closure of Assumption House Prep School, which moved to Westgate when Les Oiseaux moved out.

So, for many of us, this event marks a significant milestone in the history of our respective schools and we are sure that this gathering will provide a great opportunity to meet up with old friends, some of whom we may not have met for 50 years. For many more, regardless of what years you were a pupil, all of us share a magnificent heritage from our Catholic Education in Thanet.

We hope very much you will be able to attend...
