It may be our last one there...
Over 30 years on after our school closure we have insufficient support to continue in this way and in order to keep going, we need change.
If it wasn't for the support of the Ursuline Alumni, we couldn't have managed the dinner in the House of Lords. We are not capable of getting the numbers.
We hope that a younger generation of OAs will take over but unless we get more involvement from former pupils, we will fold sooner than later.
As Chair I would have served three terms of office, 6 years by the time of the next BGM next year in May. It's time for the Westgate generation to take over. I am willing to carry on helping the OAs in the future but we can't move on without change.
I will not stand again next year and hope that my successor will connect with the Westgate generation of OAs between 1971 - 1995.
We need OAs under 70 to take over!
Thank you for your support.
Best wishes,
Andrew
