As you are well aware we have been unable to hold any events during 2020 due to Covid-19 Government restrictions . However we are going ahead with the OA Remembrance Service on Wednesday 11th November at St. Augustine’s Church, Ramsgate commencing at 10.45am –11.15am with two minutes silence at 11.00am and a wreath will be laid at the OA War Memorial and blessed. The annual blessing of the graves will take place in one location this year possibly at the Pugin Chapel. This is PROVIDING THE CURRENT RESTRICTIONS DO NOT CHANGE BEFOREHAND AND SO CANNOT GO AHEAD – we will send out notification should the Service have to be cancelled.
St. Augustine’s Church is fully Covid Compliant and Face Masks must be wore inside the Church and Social Distancing must be maintained except where people are from the same household or bubble. Unlike previous events there will be no official gatherings afterwards and social distancing maintained at all times.
Please feel very welcome to attend if you are able – the OA’s will be officially represented by the OA Officers, Chaplain and/or Committee members depending on who is available.
Unfortunately our annual lunch at Bistro Benito in November has had to be cancelled due to the Restaurant having to close earlier this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We send our best wishes and thanks to Simone and family for looking after us so well over so many happy times…
