On Saturday 28th September 2019 at 1.00pm the Society of Old Augustinians will be unveiling the new Old Augustinian War Memorial in honour of the Old Boys who fell in World Wars One and Two. It is appropriate that we should unveil this new Memorial during the month of the 80th Anniversary of the outbreak of World War Two.
We are delighted that the Old Augustinian, Lt. Col. Paddy Williams MC, Commanding Officer of Her Majesty's Horseguards, will unveil the Plaque in St. Augustine's Church.
Decorations may be worn and for those in the services, uniforms may be worn too.
A special Mass will be held at St. Augustine's Church, St. Augustine's Road, Ramsgate, Kent. CT11 9NZ at 1.00pm to remember those who gave their lives and to remember Old Augustinians - students and teachers - who have died in the past 12 months, including our President, Martin Morton and a popular teacher, Tom Mitchell. The new plaque will be unveiled and blessed after the Mass.
Refreshments will be served in the Cartoon Room in the grounds of The Grange after the Ceremony.
