25th ANNIVERSARY OF THE CLOSURE OF ST. AUGUSTINE’S COLLEGE AND ABBEY SCHOOL – SILVER JUBILEE OF THE URSULINE COEDUCATIONAL COLLEGE.

Our annual Reunion lunch at St. Augustine’s at Westgate-on-Sea will take place this year on Saturday 16th May 2020  marking the 25th Anniversary of the Closure of St. Augustine’s College, home of our school from 1971 t0 1995 and the original home of Les Oiseaux Convent School.

This year we are dedicating the lunch in memory of Fr. Benedict Austin OSB who died in 2017. Fr. Benedict was the last Principal of our School when it closed 25 years ago.

This year again we are inviting Alumni of the Ursuline College/Convent, Les Oiseaux Convent School and La Sainte Union Convent School, Herne Bay, one of our feeder schools to St. Augustine’s College.

All OAs, Friends and Guests most Welcome.

Cost of the lunch is £35.00 which includes tea/coffee on arrival; a guided tour of the former college and chapel;  Three course lunch and Wine with Coffee and Mints after. (extra wine or drinks may be ordered at own expense)

Menu Choices:      (Artisan breads and butter are provided on the table)

Starters: Smoked salmon & fresh salmon terrine laced with chives and cognac  OR  Minestrone soup with parmesan biscuit  OR  Assiette of melon with fruit compote (V)

Main Course:  Chicken Prosciutto with creamy chive veloute sauce  OR  Delice of Salmon on crushed new potato cake with julienne root vegetables  OR  Slow roast Lamb shank with red wine and thyme jus  OR  Artichoke and Pea Risotto.(vegetarian or vegan)

Desserts: Sticky toffee pudding with stem ginger ice cream  OR  Normandy apple flan with custard  OR  Chocolate Trio of Chocolate bavarios, profiteroles and mini chocolate meringues  OR  Cheese board.
